CD Intro & Guidelines
Introduction
The Healing Connection is a powerful, spiritually
healing prayer that uses your senses, rather than words, to communicate
with God. You will experience God's gifts in a way you may never
have experienced before, and become receptive to hear God's answers
to your prayers in ways you cannot anticipate.
When you listen to the CD with headphones, the soothing
words of this meditation prayer sound as if they are inside the
front of your forehead. The beautiful music sounds as if it is just
behind you. You may not be able to tell from the samples on your
computer, but the downbeat of each score alternates gently from
one side to the other.
While the words of the meditation prayer are very
insightful in and of themselves, the gentle alternating tones greatly
enhance the value. These gentle alternating tones help you remember
the message when you need it. There are no hidden messages. This
is not hypnosis. It is just connecting with God's miracles through
all of your senses and using that connection to improve your mental,
physical, and spiritual well-being.
Suggestions for Maximum Benefit
It is best to listen in a comfortable, quite place using a headset
so that you will hear the sounds distinctly from the right and left
side. Listening to the sounds coming from the right then the left
helps you to process the sensations with your whole brain and with
all your senses.
It is recommended that you do not listen to the Healing Connection
Prayer while driving a car. You cannot concentrate on driving while
giving this the attention it needs, and doing so could be unsafe
and unsatisfying.
His Radiant Embrace, track 2, provides the basic imagery for the
other tracks. Listen to it before you listen to the other tracks.
An abbreviated version of the nature meditation is on track 5.
After you are familiar with the meditation, you may want to listen
only to the sections that are most significant for you. For example,
people who have difficulty sleeping may listen to the sleep meditation
each night before bed.
After becoming familiar with the Healing Connection messages, you
may find that the music in tracks 10 and 11 will allow more personal
flexibility.
Listen to any part of the Healing Connection Prayer meditation
as often as you like to get the results you desire. Some people
quickly learn to experience the glow of God's blessing around them
and easily incorporate it into their daily lives; while others need
to listen over and over, especially in times of stress.
Response, strength, and speed may vary because of personal factors
such as current need, attention span, stress level, or beliefs about
relaxing and meditating. This prayer engages all of your senses
so you can relate whether you learn by seeing, hearing, doing, or
feeling.
If you fall asleep while listening - that's OK. It is designed
to be relaxing and you may need rest. Many of the messages will
still be effective. If your mind wanders - that's OK too - unless
you begin to think of disturbing things.
If sad, frightening, or negative thoughts or images emerge, please
discontinue listening. This meditation is designed to bring up positive
images. If you cannot hold positive images, please consider consulting
a professional therapist.
Avoid using this meditation if you are craving crack or other
stimulants. Do not listen if you are using large doses of benzodiazepines
such as Klonopin, Xanax, or Valium, or if you are drunk or have
a hangover.
